WaterWorks: Soak Up the Science is a unique, timely, and highly educational look at the playful, powerful and precious world of water. This 600 square meter (6,000 square feet) traveling exhibit and multimedia experience involves audiences in gaining a better understanding of and appreciation for our most precious natural resource. The exhibit clarifies the need for sustainability for future generations.

Visitors explore the physical properties of water with exhibits on raindrops, rainbows and snowflakes. They learn how water ‘cycles’ from its source through various treatment processes and then to our taps. They also calculate their own water consumption and learn conservation strategies.

The Water Theater is an HD animated video experience where visitors meet Walter, the adventurous water molecule. The video is a fast-paced and h umorous tour of the fundamental connection between water, life and human society. The story follows the adventures of Walter as he is thrust from his home in the water table and is evaporated into a cloud, falls to the ground as a raindrop and freezes into a snowflake. Walter will take you on a journey through the water cycle as he makes his way from a groundwater source to the tap in your home. Walter learns about himself and all the vital functions he serves in sustaining life on our blue planet.
